She has a Name!

Just to update everyone, baby girl now has a name....Nicole!!

Welcome Baby Girl!

Our new little niece was born this morning at 952am via c-section. She was 8lbs 8oz and 22inches long.

She doesn't quite have a name yet and I haven't seen her yet either...but I'll post the name when I find out.

Congratulations to Mommy and Daddy on the safe arrival of Baby Girl!

Horseback Riding - week 1

Thursday was the start of Ethan's riding lessons at Pride Stables for this session.

If you remember, he had a tiny little pony named Angel for the first and second sessions he was in. At the end of the lessons last time, the teacher told us that he would get moved on to a bigger horse for the next session since poor Angel couldn't hold him any longer.

We got to the stables and find the sign and lo and behold, they have Ethan on Angel again. Poor little guy was devistated. He was looking forward to a big horse...he immediately started crying and pinching me.

I told the instructor and unfortunately there wasn't much she could do! Well, I just prayed, I knew that he wasn't going to get on Angel without a fight....luckily, there was still a little girl who hadn't arrived for the lesson yet. She got there, and she was TINY!!!....so the very smart instructor, switched her and Ethan...She got little Angel and Ethan got a really big horse named Flicka!

He was soooooo excited....but me...well, I know that he has a tendency to fall asleep on the horses so I'm looking at this horse, who's back is as high as my ear and am thinking that is a mighty big fall!! On another lucky note, Ethan's volunteer is Darryl...the same guy that lead him in Ethan's first session.

Funny Fridays - A Newfoundlander Running In The Rain

A woman was having a daytime affair while her husband was at work. One rainy day she was in bed with her boyfriend when, to her horror, she heard her husband's car pull into the driveway. 'Oh my God - Hurry! Grab your clothes and jump out the window. My husband's home early!'

'I can't jump out the window. It's raining out there!'

'If my husband catches us in here, he'll kill us both!' she replied. He's got a hot temper and a gun, so the rain is the least of your problems!'

So the boyfriend scoots out of bed, grabs his clothes and jumps out the window! As he ran down the street in the pouring rain, he quickly discovered he had run right into the middle of the St John's Labour Day marathon, so he started running along beside the others, about 5000 of them.

Being naked, with his clothes tucked under his arm, he tried to blend in as best he could. After a little while a small group of runners who had been watching him with some curiosity, jogged closer.

'Do you always run in the nude?' one asked.

'Oh yes by'e!' he replied, gasping in air. 'It feels so wonderfully free!'

Another runner moved a long side. 'Do you always run carrying your clothes with you under your arm?

'Oh , yes me by'e' our friend answered breathlessly. 'That way I can get dressed right at the end of the run and get in my car to go home! '

Then a third runner cast his eyes a little lower and asked, 'Do you always wear a condom when you run?'

'Lard Tunderin Geez No by'e.........just when it's raining.

A New Thing - Funny Fridays

I decided that once in a while I get some really really funny emails. Mostly about Newfoundlanders, but sometimes not. From now on, on Fridays I'm going to post a joke. We can all use a good laugh and I hope you enjoy!

Cody's Birthday!

My oldest turned 7 years old yesterday. I can't believe how time is flying. Seems like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. He's no longer a little kid...now he's a medium kid I suppose.
