Syd's Party Dress

This is the dress I crocheted for Syd to wear to Charly's graduation when we go to Newfoundland in a few weeks. I worked really hard on it and though it didn't turn out perfectly, I think I did pretty good for it being my first time crocheting a clothes item!

Our New Family Member!

NO!! We did not have a baby and NO we are NOT pregnant.

But we did get a hamster!

I named her Twili (not after the Twilight books, but after Twilingate in Newfoundland.)

She's a black bear hamster (not the same as a teddy bear hamster) and she's actually really really friendly! She eats treats right out of my hand!

Garden 2009

Well, I got the garden started this week...not much got done to it seeing as I hurt my hand. BUT we did discover that the soil is mostly clay, so there has to be some work done to it before I can actually plant.

I'm hoping next week we can get it all ready and just wait for the nice weather to stay to put stuff out.

The garden is much bigger then last years, but it's still pretty small.

And you can see, there is still actually a patch of grass in the middle of it that I still have to take out!

I've got some seeds already that I can't wait to plant...I'll be very excited if I can actually eat corn I grew in my own garden!!

Happy Birthday Ethan!!!

So this is a little late, since Ethan's birthday was actually May 4th, but we just had his birthday party on Friday.

My little stinker is 6 years old. Time really flies doesn't it.

Ryan brought out the cake and Ethan was so quick to blow out the candles, that I didn't even get a picture of them lit!

Oma bought him a "Cars" racetrack and he loves it...it's been going pretty steady since Friday!!

Summer Camp!

I'm so excited....this is the first year that Ethan and Cody get to go to a real summer camp.

They will be going to Camp Pride at Pride Stables. They go every day (for the one week) from 8:30am til 4pm. They get to ride horses all morning and then they have regular camp stuff in the afternoon.

It'll be neat for once, to have something that Ethan knows how to do and Cody's never done!

I bet they're going to have fun!!!
