Those Smart Newfies

I thought this was hilarious....the last line totally made me think of Mick!!

MARIJUANA FILLED FIREWOOD

'Hello, is this the Police Office?'

'Yes. What can I do for you?'

'I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Jack Murphy...He's hidin'
Marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside
Them logs, but he's hidin' it there..'

'Thank you very much for the call, sir.'

The next day, twelve Police Officers descend on Jack's house. They
Search the shed where the firewood is kept.

Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana.
They sneer at Jack and leave.

Shortly, the phone rings at Jack's house.

'Hey, Jack! This here's Floyd....Did the Police come?'

'Yeah!'

'Did they chop your firewood?'

'Yep!'

'Happy Birthday, buddy!'

Back to the Horses!

Today was the first day of the fall session of riding at Pride Stables. Most of you know that Ethan was entered into the Central Ontario Developmental Riding Program at Pride Stables over the summer. He loved it, so we had him put back in. This time it is 8 weeks long instead of only 6 weeks over the summer.

We were a little sad to see that Daryl would not be Ethan's volunteer for this session, but were excited that he gets to ride Angel again. Ethan's new volunteer is a young girl named Jenna.

I was a little worried that because of how late the lessons are this session (7:30-8:30pm) Ethan would be tired and possibly fall asleep on the horse again, but it went well. Let's hope that there is no snoozing during the lessons.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures. The fall/winter sessions are held completely indoors in the arena because it gets dark so early. The ceiling lights are mixing with the flash to make the funky dots.

Back in Full Swing!

Programs have started back up at PCRC, Pioneer Clubs are on again and Horseback Riding starts this week for Ethan.

Crazy times!!! I hardly get to sit down some days.

Between all that I have to somehow manage to pack up and move the whole house. Moving day is fast approaching, but still seems like so far away. I'm pretty sure we've been waiting forever to get into the new house.

HomeMade Market's grand opening celebrations are over now, but look for some pretty things to be stocked over the next few months. Look for HomeMade Market to appear in some well known places too as well as some fund raising events.

I would also like to tell everyone...Sept 17 was my baby sister's birthday...she turned 17 years old. It's amazing how fast time flies...seems like it was just yesterday that she was 4 years old with pig tails in her hair dressed in a pumpkin costume. Happy Birthday Charly!! We love you and miss you!!

How Stinkin' Cute!!!!

I just thought this was the cutest picture ever.

Only Ethan and Syd are home of the kids today and while I was doing laundry Syd went upstairs. I finished doing what I was doing and then went up and called to her to give her her lunchtime meds. She never came and Ethan said she had gone upstairs. I kept calling her as I went upstairs but she still didn't come and this picture is what I found her doing:

HomeMade Market

My poor blog has been being neglected the last little while....but for good reason. Other then packing the house up for the move and making sure that the basement is totally done for the new owners....I've opened a new store.

HomeMade Market

Grand Opening celebrations are going on the week of Sept 10-17. Use the code BIRTHDAY17 for a special discount in honor of my little sister's 17th birthday.

Go have a look around...if there something you want but don't see, just contact me ... I'm always up for a custom order.

Here are some sneak peaks of what's going on over there:

School has begun!

September is here and school is back in session.

Cody is in Grade 1 French Immersion (half day english, half day french), Ethan is in Senior Kindergarten and Mia is in Junior Kindergarten. What's neat with Ethan and Mia is that they go opposite days; Mia on Mon/Wed and alternate Fri, Ethan on Tues/Thurs and opposite alternate Fri. I get to have some time with just them this way...it's nice.

Since the house in Baden is now officially ours and we are just waiting on a final closing date, I decided it would be better to send the kids to school in Baden right away instead of starting them at Franklin and then switching to Baden after the move. Well, this is great for the kids, but no so great for the poor mother who has to be in the car with 4 kids and driving them to school 1/2 hour away at 7:30AM!!!! I'm pooped and really looking forward to getting into the new house.

Sydney will be starting Preschool on Oct 3 also. It's just Friday mornings but gives her a chance to be around people her own age, plus it gives me a little break too.

I can't believe how fast time flies....it seems like just yesterday that I found out I was pregnant with Cody. Four kids and 7 years later, even the baby is going to school.

Really shows that you have to enjoy them when they're small, cause you blink your eye and they're not so little anymore.
